We're going to Special Olympics, we're going there to bowl

I get to see my friends again, some faces even new
What have you all been doing, it's good to see you too
We talk about our summer, and what we did for fun
We care for one another, so we've already won
Do you like to run and jump, and run a meter dash
Then track is the one for you, and you will have a blast
There's softball throw and shot put, the mini javelin too
Standing and running long jump, there's many things to do
Basketball's in the winter, and you can join a team
We dribble then we're passing, it's feeling like a dream
In skills you shoot a basket, and it might be all net
Our teamwork's full of spirit, it's fun you won't forget
In the springtime we play Bocce, it's like bowling on the lawn
Just toss out the palina, you really can't go wrong
Taking aim and throwing, to the little ball of white
It looks like I'm the closest, I'm ready to ignite
I'm on a horse and trotting, while on the western trail
She makes me look so perfect, with her pretty braided tail
Racing around the barrels, as fast as we can go
We're flying while we cantor, we really gave a show
We're on the green and golfing, it's really very fun
Stay steady while we're putting, to make a hole in one
I almost got a chip in, just missed it by a hair
Others enjoy a golf game, or drive it through the air
We're waltzing to Moon River, and we dance the Rumba too
We also dance the Tango, that's just to name a few
We're swinging as we Fox Trot, we really love to dance
We found that we have rhythm, so glad we had the chance
If you really like to swim, then meet us at the pool
For everybody's safety, you need to follow rules
You'll learn how to back float, or freestyle if you wish
And then before you know it, you'll be swimming like a fish
We're on our way to State Games, to the Hilton Garden Inn
Together we have spirit, and soon we will begin
Our week-end is so busy, the best time with our friends
We won ribbons and some medals, too bad it has to end
